It would have seriously benefited from another re-write or hiring a nerd advisor. It's still really enjoyable, some scenes make you go "what the hell, that makes no sense" but then the movie is like "I don't care, you can either complain or you can watch the awesome stuff coming up!"

 

BUt you if take the Alien universe serious then you're going to be frustrated.

The consensus of the reviews seems to be that it's an overall enjoyable experience, but the flimsiness of the plot is disappointing.

In any case, I'm seeing it tonight.

Starship Troopers is a fun movie.

And it even has a tiny bit of decent satire.

Beat you too it, Pizza. It was pretty dang good.

It's a great spectacle. The visuals are amazing, it's scary when it needs to be, and the 3D actually looked really good. 

But like others have said, if you start picking it apart, you'll find plenty of flaws in the plot. I'm choosing not to do that, however.

I also agree with Moris' evaluation of it being goood with three o's.

 

And yeah, the more you think about it the more ridiculous it seems, structurally. But it doesn't matter BECAUSE I ENJOYED IT. The one part that did make me groan in the theater was "Maybe we can trick the nervous system into thinking it's still alive." ...HAHAHA WUT?
