I CAN'T STAND SEEING OPINIONS DIFFERENT THAN MY OWN EITHER.
I know that this is somehow supposed to be a sarcastic comment, but it's impossible for my brain to interpret it as anything other than completely serious.

Yeah, this place is a hot bed of activity. Where the bottom of our first page is a post from last week, the bottom of your front page is a post from over a month ago.

I'm not saying it was!
I'm just saying the list of users is always filled with guests.

That place is the worst, just let it go already. Oh boy look at that activity, too bad it's by some of the most uninteresting posters ever.

As usual, I can see both sides on this. I agree with Piggie that, even on a small message board for niche interests, it's unrealistic to want to never have to deal with anyone who has different opinions from you or anyone who you find mildly irritating in trivial ways. So because of that I was opposed to the split between boards for a long time. However - as much as I think it's great that the other board has become this really intimate place where people can share their personal feelings, anxieties, secrets and receive support and advice about them, there are sometimes when I feel it's almost too personal. There are some things I'm still not comfortable with sharing with people I only know online (albeit in some cases people I've chatted to for years) and tbh there's also some things about other people I don't always want to read. (Kacee I'm def not talking about the things you've recently posted, that's fine and it's important for you to be able to share and discuss them, I guess I'm thinking more of some of the sexual fetish threads and so forth). So it's nice to be able to sometimes take a break from that and come over here to just have a laugh and shoot the breeze. I'm not even saying I'm right to feel the way I do, it's probably a result of my own hang-ups and in general it's probably doing me good to learn to be less uptight about these things, but for better or worse I do feel this way from time to time, so again it's useful for me to come here and just chat about music and sitcoms and tell daft jokes for a while. In that way it's handy having the two semi-connected boards.
It's certainly fine if you don't like the personal ****, but that's not what they're saying. When I returned there like a year and a half ago I realized what awesome dudes Melvin and Slash were and all we had in common and that these were people that probably understood my various neuroses and personal conflicts, so I decided to be super open with them about **** that bugged me. I guess the rest of the board decided this was a good idea and now it's a board that if a psychiatrist found he would have us all committed.
But the gang here never really objected to that. Apparently the big conflict was with Bob's rantings, which are more cute than anything.
Seriously, what are you trying to prove? MORE PEOPLE POST PEOPLE ON THE NOBRMB. NOT VERY MANY PEOPLE POST ON THE NSMB. Hey, good point Piggie, why don't you make it again, 50th time's the charm.
And I don't care what anybody says, Slash never was and never will be an "awesome dude", he's an unbearable, miserable little piece of shit.

Thank you for saying this.
I share things with that group because they are people that have known me since I was an annoying 12 year old.. I think 10 years of anything should count for something, you know? And I totally understand when people don't want to share their own personal stuff. I mean, there is still plenty that I don't share with the NOBRMB. It's the internet, I get that.
