And I will say this in defense of the other board: I've got a really decent support system from all of them with SO many different heavy things that have happened in the last few years. We have actual conversations and ones that I can really learn from and appreciate. We don't make lists of people we hate on the board every other week nor do we care about who we like better than someone else. We argue and bicker and rip on each other like friends do but I think most of us actually feel safe and supported there. In a group that's been together as long as we all have, I think that's important. ..Even if it is just a stupid internet message board for a band that only half of us actually care about anymore.

I understand that there's some personal drama that happened, the details of which I'm pretty fuzzy on and I understand why certain people don't really want to talk but why does this group in particular have such a grudge against the other board in general? ..We all hate Sonicu! ..That's something! ..Right? :)

I don't come here for personal support. And I don't care about the internet drama that happened.

I come here to bull**** with people whom I find interesting and funny.

I find the commonly-discussed topics at the other board boring, and many of the people unfunny and/or irritating. And I'm sure Sonicu has become the user who everyone over on the NOBRMB "loves to hate," and I'm sure he relishes all the attention it brings him.

I don't love to hate him. There are people I hate, or strongly dislike, but I don't like hating them.

I'd rather just post on a board with people I like (or at least people who have created online personas that I like).

That bob thing was just the last straw. Most people over there are lame. I went back and posted for a bit but I didn't enjoy anyone outside of Piggie and Melvin.

I'd rather live without Melvin and with everyone who is here than with melvin and the others that post at that place.

My only point is that I view most messageboards, including this one, as a frivolous waste of time.

If I'm going to waste my time screwing around on the internet, I prefer to do so in the (virtual) company of people I actually enjoy talking to. I find this board fun. I find the other one boring.

That's really where the discussion begins and ends, as far as I'm concerned.
