So I went and saw that Insidious movie last night. Lately I've been craving dumb, fun horror movies a lot, and this movie was just perfect for that, even though it was pretty much a 2011 version of Poltergeist with a couple things switched around (the ghost expert lady isn't a midget, instead of a girl being trapped in the other world it's a boy, and they threw in a big red scary guy for good measure).
Anyways yeah, it was an entertaining movie, and if you've had a hankerin' for a cheap, scary movie you should go watch it.

Yeah I did, I didn't like it, but that could just be because I watched with my stupid little brother and he wouldn't shut up the entire time.
It seemed like it was kind of trying to go for a tense, moody atmosphere instead of having a ghost jumping out at the screen and going "BLAH!", and it's pretty much impossible for that feeling to sink in when some dumb kid sitting next to you keeps going "BITCH ARE YOU RETARDED? LEAVE THE FUCKIN' HOUSE" "NIGGA WHY YOU STILL FILMING THIS ****?" and constantly suggesting better, more logical alternatives for the characters (because his dumb ass has all the answers, right).
SERIOUSLY, WHO DOES THAT SHIT? IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR CHARACTERS TO BEHAVE RATIONALLY IN A HORROR MOVIE, WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU WATCHING A HORROR MOVIE?

And, hello, had he been paying attention to the movie, he would have known that leaving the house would not have helped, because the girl was being stalked by the demon for her whole life, and it would have followed her anywhere. It's like "Hello! Earth to Pizza's brother! This is simple stuff!" GHAL
Anyway, having learned that, her boyfriend should have been like "hey, I'm going out for smokes" and the movie ends with the sound of screeching tires in the driveway as he speeds off.
