Although to be fair to Fanta, while looking for that image I saw that they change the girls up a lot, and almost every color has had a black girl and an ethnic girl in the role.

It's my understanding that Mr. Jackson chose that color himself. In a test I took for a physics class, I calculated that, assuming lightsabers follow the typical rules of blackbody radiation, the purple light saber is the hottest (hotter than green, red, and blue).
