I hate to sound like some pretentious git, but at the moment I don't really watch much TV. We had a crime show called Luther just recentley which a lot of people rated, I thought it was entertaining but a bit corny. Also The Thick Of It, which is a satire which shows the backroom parts of politics, that was funny and pretty sharp. Don't know if either of those are available in the US though (but obv you can find most things online if you look in the right places).
Did you ever watch The League of Gentlemen back in the day? That was a good dark British comedy from the late 90s which I've been watching reruns from of late, it stands up quite well still.
I'm watching Louie and they showed a preview for the new season of It's Always Sunny with some new footage. It had some dumb "hip" song with autotune playing in it which didn't make any sense, but whatever.

Louis C.K doesn't seem like strictly a comedy show, to me. Clearly it has a huge emphasis on comedy, but there are a lot of pretty serious scenes. There's also the line between serious and absurd/awkward.
I really like it. It reminds me of a more toned down version of Curb in its documentary-stylish way of shooting and it dealing with rather mundane, every day topics.
Yeah that one Bully episode didn't really have any laughs (aside from the stand up sections). I like it a lot, it's just a really cool, unique show. I'm glad it got renewed for another season.
