Firefly Love/John31584

John, since you got me addicted to Firefly I had some things I wanted to bring up with you/other fans of Firefly.

Do you think the that after Serenity ended, and the alliance was discredited, that it was the end of the alliance completely or it was a black mark to the people who were faithful and believed in it such as, for example, what Nixon did to America (aka created a loss of faith in government and change the way people viewed their leaders)?

I don't know if others have thought about this, but I have. I know what I think but I'd love to discuss it with other Firefly lovers.

I think neither of those things happened because Firefly and Serenity are works of fiction.

The Alliance operative well-mannered ninja guy sure did seem to think that was the end of the Alliance. Then again, what did he know?

Also, an election scandal is not quite as damaging as, say, subjecting citizens to lethal experiments with dubious aims.

That's true, but the Alliance could just put the blame on a few officials and claim the rest of the government had nothing to do with it.

Didn't the operative at the end of Serenity say something like "the alliance is weakened, but they're far from beaten"

Or something like that.

I think so. I'm just wondering how big of a blow it would be. I wish the game would have come out. I'm sure it would have started off at that point and continued the story.

I just like to pretend that the Serenity movie wasn't made.

You didn't like the movie?

Wash made me cry. I was so upset.

I thought the operative said it was "over" or something. I don't know, man, it's been a long time since I've seen that movie.

The movie was ok, but I'd rate every single episode above it.

I thought the fight scene with the Reevers was very well done. I would say it was like one long episode but not worse than the other episodes.
