I had to see it twice, both times in 3D, and thought it was just meh. It was pretty to look at I guess. The second time through I just napped.

So, it's an amazing-looking movie. The live action and CGI are merged absolutely seamlessly. It's literally impossible to tell that the aliens aren't real.

And in 3D, the action sequences are spectacular.

But, the plot has been done before, and it had an unabashedly anti-human, anti-civilization agenda, which kind of pissed me off.

I guess I'm sort of glad I saw it in the theater, in 3D, if I was going to see it at all.

It would be totally pointless to watch it on DVD.
