Thanksgiving was a disappointment this year. I went to two dinners and the food wasn't that great at either of them. I didn't eat that much at either of them, I just had Subway right now. Thanksgiving isn't really Thanksgiving if you don't end up hating yourself for all the food you ate by the end of it.
I did enjoy spending time with family, but this holiday is about FOOD. I always look forward to it, and I was let down big time. Also they were watching The Little Rascals on TV (the remake)... good god. If I saw any of those child actors now I would not hesitate to beat their asses.

I cooked orange brined turkey, lasagna, wheat rolls, pumpkin bread, garlic-parmesan mashed potatoes, sausage mushroom corn bread stuffing, cranberry sauce (from scratch), creamed corn, pizza rolls and citrus punch for 17 people. My turkey was moist and people were going back for thirds on everything. I was very happy. I pretty much took Wednesday off and cooked all day and reheated the day of (with everything except the turkey).
