I saw Totoro, Grave of the Fireflies, Ponyo and Requiem for a Dream.
I'm not in love with any of them.

Grave of the fireflies is poorly paced. I get why its supposed to be sad but no, did not feel anything. I feel worse when I watch that fresh prince episode where his dad comes back.

The World's Greatest Lover

It's this old Gene Wilder movie, they were showing it on HBO yesterday. I had never seen it before, it was pretty good.

I'm trying to remember if I watched this before the Mel Gibson thing. Well whatever, Mel Gibson could rape every baby in the world and I would still watch the Road Warrior any day of the week.

I felt like I needed to watch more movies and read more books.

I usually only watch new movies and never read. So I'm doing the 50/50 challenge modified to work with my fastlane lifestyle.

So I'm trying to watch 50 films and read 25 books.

I've read The Pearl and I've watched these movies:

-2001: A Space Odyssey - alright
-The Iron Giant - Seen it before but I like it so shut up
-Apocalypto - good
-The Graduate - My favorite so far.
-City of God - good
-Vertigo - would have been good without that one scene I won't post cause Awkward still has to watch it.

Watching: Apocalypse now
Watching this weekend: Princess Mononoke

saw Jaws in the theater. Realized I'd never seen the whole thing, just parts of it as a child. it was pretty great
