i LOVE the criminal-profiling episodes of the x-files. everything else is mediocre-to-ridiculous. mulder should have profiled how criminally bad the second movie was.

X Files was my probably my favourite tv show in the later years of primary school. I think watching the episode with the incest-ridden murder family - who remembers? - may well have scarred me for life. It did slowly get worse over time, though. As far as I remember I've never actually watched the movies - might be worth a shot at some point.

Best ever episode though was probably the one with the soldier who could kill people at a distance by projecting himself (there must be a better way to describe that...). Plus the better ones from the ongoing alien stories.

YES! That one was so damn disturbing. The X-Files is really the only non-comedy show that I ever watched. The last two seasons, the ones without Mulder are mostly awful, it was clear that they were running out of ideas.

And Andy (ha!), the first movie is totally worth it. The second one... I've yet to meet a person that liked it, but who knows, you might be the one.

Haha, in a way I'm glad that I'm not the only person who found that episode memorably disturbing.
I reckon it must have been at some point during the first Mulder-less series that I stopped watching, can't remember for sure though. Will try and check the first movie out at some point.
