I don't like it. I don't know if it's good or bad, just not the ind of music I ever listen to. I also had trouble downloading it and only got about half of it. I skipped through most of it.
Kudos for the effort anyways.
That's fair enough. I anticipated that not everyone would like the music. Thanks for giving it a shot. If anyone else is having trouble with the download could they let me know? If it's a widespread problem I could maybe try hosting it somewhere else.
I think it may have had more to do with my new lousy internet connection. I wouldn't worry about it.
not my cup of tea but I did enjoy what I got through. which was about 30 minutes, I had things to do so I up and left. Some of the transitions were a bit rough but I expect things to get better as you progress. If you keep posting I'll give it a listen.
Thanks for that. Glad you found things to like - I reckon some of the music in the second half of it might be more your sort of thing, though of course you can never be sure. You're absolutely right that some of the transitions are rough, the mix from Shystie into the first Roska tune in particular is rough as guts, quite painful to listen back to it. Should have another one up either today or tomorrow, working hard on getting the mixing tighter.
And Pumpkin, you obviously just aren't down with how us kids on road talk nowadays.
obviously im not, i used to know all the crazy california lingo when i lived there. it was like a whole other language, but im sure its changed in the year since ive been gone
THE TIMES THEY ARE A-CHANGIN, i hear

Despite putting in a lot of practice, this maybe isn't quite the improvement I'd hoped for. However, think it's fair to say that this is slightly slicker than the first one overall.
Tracklist: Rustie - Zig-Zag D-Malice - Gabrielle refix Sticky ft Ms Dynamite - Bad Gyal (Crazy Cousinz remix) Slackk - Bambara Fly Hard House Banton - Reign (edit) Perempay & Dee - Buss It Maxwell D - Blackberry Hype (Different riddim) Moony - Donnie MJ Cole ft Digga - Gotta Have It (funky dub) Roska - Elevated Levels Apple - Chantes Mala - Left Leg Out Ramadanman - Revenue (Untold remix) D1 - BG Sticky ft Ms Dynamite - Booo Zinc - 138 Trek Dusk & Blackdown ft Durrty Goodz - Concrete Streets Newham Generals - Mind Is A Gun Maniac - Ugly James Blake - Air & Lack Thereof Footsie - 3 Plates Mark Pritchard & Om'Mas Keith - Wind It Up Jamie Vex'd - Radiant Industry Joker - Hollybrook Park Rustie - Tempered Ikonika - Phonelines VIP
Well up for continuing doing these, but the next one will have to wait a while as I've kind of used up most of my big tunes for now.
PS - a fun game for you, children - can you spot the mix where it all went a bit wrong?

This first one is easily the best mixed thing that I've managed on a recording, but I suspect that some of the music won't be to everyone's tastes here. But y'know, give it a shot. Plus it's quite short:
Tracklist: Hot City - Setting Me Free [Infrasonics] Afefe Iku - Mirror Dance [BBE] Donaeo - Party Hard [My-Ish Ltd] Aaron Carl - Oasis (Nick Holder vocal dub) [Superb Entertainment] Altered Natives - Rass Out [Fresh Minute Music] NB Funky - Riddim Box (Sami Sanchez remix) [Its Funky] Geeneus ft. Katy B - As I [Rinse] Bare Bones - U Pearson Sound - Wad [Hessle Audio] Vato Gonzalez - Badman Riddim [Dirty House] L-Vis 1990 - United Groove [Mad Decent] Twizzle - Skydiving (Greenmoney remix) [Squarepeg] Gregor Salto - Bumba Bounce Riddim (Slackk refix)
I think the tunes on this second one will appeal to people here more - in fact, it's probably my own personal favourite in terms of the selection and flow of the music. However, there are still a couple of stumbles in the mixing here. I'd say it's somewhat more slickly mixed than the two early ones I posted, though.
I just got through listening through both. I did some house cleaning while listening to the second one, I like that one a lot, despite the hiccups. That one seemed to be a bit more diverse in its styles of music. At the very least it's good music to clean your house to.

Thanks Pizza. I really do appreciate when people take the time to listen and comment. Yeah I suppose the second one is quite diverse in style. What I like to try and aim for is a certain ammount of diversity, but within an overall governing framework. Maybe I should use "it's good music to clean your house to" as my advertising slogan.
You can stream and download via the link. Tracklisting is on the page.
I haven't got a chance to listen to it yet. I'll probably play it at work until everyone gets annoyed and tells me to turn it off, and I'll show those bitch asses what it is, I'll be like "PIZZA MAKES THE RULES AT SMART TECH, NIGGA I RUN THIS BITCH."

Posted this over on the, erm, other side so thought I may as well do it here too: Kind of short notice, but I'll be playing live on www.piraterevival.co.uk tonight from 8 - 10 pm GMT (so that should 3-5 pm in the eastern US and 1-3 in the west. Starting in about 3 hours and 10 mins anyway). Will mostly be playing tunes similar to the ones in my last mix, also a bit of older stuff as it's mainly an oldschool station. Having trouble at the moment getting a mic working, but there's a rolling chat-box type thing on the site where I'll be logged in, so if you're listening and want to get IDs on tunes or just generally interact with me/other listeners then that's the place to go. NB - this is the first time I've ever done anything like this so at least 1 or 2 things are likely to go wrong. Also I know this looks like I'm just coming back to promo my own stuff, which is obv pretty lame, but I've honestly not given up on posting over here. It's just that it is pretty slow right now and nobody has really been on when I've passed by in the last week.
