So, apparently Ireland's constitution expressly forbids blasphemy, and there have been anti-blasphemy laws on the books for decades, as required by the constitution.
I wonder if Section 4 (which, as mentioned, arguably applies to all religions) was put in by some lawmakers who care about free speech, since they can't not have an anti-blasphemy law, so they decided to create a loophole that you could fly a 747 through.
In order to exploit the loophole, you would have to find judges and/or juries that will admit to the fact that all religion involves abusive psychological exploitation. Although I think a good argument can be made, religious people (i.e., almost everybody) will not buy the argument on account of extreme cognitive dissonance.

I think if anyone tries to challenge this, religious groups from all sides will throw money at it to make sure no precedence is set.
