(There is a collective name for these films, which I always forget).
I was talking about this on anther board a little earlier, and really, they're all rubbish aren't they? With the exception of Anchorman and perhaps Wedding Crashers. Weird how one film following a similar format to the others turned out to be really funny and memorable, maybe it was just chance? But things like Zoolander, Old School, Dodgeball, Starsky and Hutch, probably a few others that I've blocked from memory, I really I don't think it would be a loss to the world if all copies of them were rounded up and blasted into space. It's a shame because most of the people involved clearly have some degree of talent and personality (I have a particular soft-spot for Vaughan). But the scripts always turn out to be so lazy and unfunny...
The alternate explanation is that I'm horribly wrong and these films are in fact hilarious. Discuss as you please.
Please explain to me what is good about Zoolander. It's been ages since I saw it - once was enough, innit - but I remember it being one the most irritating, least amusing films of its time. You might well be right about Wilson btw.
I didn't like it the first time I saw it either. Even the second time I stop halfway through due to my short attention span. But once I got through it I thoroughly enjoyed it, shocked me even.

Hmmm, those are strong words, maybe I will have to watch it again sometime. If I still hate it them I'm blaming you, Moris!
Conveniently it was repeated on tv earlier tonight. It wasn't hilarious, but it wasn't as annoying as I remembered either. It gets funnier in the second half. Moris, you half-win I guess.
That's why I don't like ANY of their movies. I've been subjected to them by various friends and family, but I've never liked any. It's just a bunch of repeated not funny characterization garbage with slap stick humor and poop/penis jokes.
Though I do try to see movies with Owen Wilsons brother - he's pretty hot.
