Well, there's now sustained human to human transmission in the U.S., so it's no longer confined to people who have visited Mexico.
But yeah, that's how it appears to have started here: people visit Mexico, catch it, and then come back.
The fact that Michael Savage is blaming Mexican restaurants shows his utter ignorance of pretty much everything. Unless the workers there happen to have traveled to Mexico recently, they're at no greater risk than anyone else. The fact that they happen to be Mexican is completely irrelevant, and Savage's comments show that he is nothing but a racist to the core.
Well, yeah, he's free to express whatever vile nonsense he wants, to anyone who's willing to listen, and I certainly don't advocate violence against him, simply because he's infectious human waste.
However, a lot of people in this city would probably be far less accommodating. Happy-go-lucky, open-minded San Francisco can be quite intolerant of dissenting opinions. Shocking, I know.
My comment was directed more towards the idea that people who try to be tolerant of everything are self-defeatists. I certainly, within the limits of the law, make it miserable for Savage to live in my town. Or then again, I'd probably just forget he exists and not feed his need to feel important and controversial.
