Fun fact: the last time a Letter of Marque was issued by Congress was in WWII - it was issued to the Goodyear Blimp Resolute to patrol the west coast of the U.S. for enemy submarines.

It was a blimp operating as a privateer. That is awesome, and makes me want to play some Crimson Skies.
