It's really stupid to criticize South Park on any meaningful, philosophic level but the whole having "faith" in the economy.

Faith is a dirty word in my book, but I take it they simply mean that we should not panic and trust that the economy will recover. Granted, it's annoying to tie that story (which is reasonable) to the story of the Messiah (which is utter bull****).
