There's a difference in what you would feel like doing and what our justice system should sanction. Is torture the kind of behavior you want to encourage?
If we've got someone we know is guilty, and critical information is needed, then yes. I don't think it is appropriate to do on a suspect of a crime or anything like that, or in any other context except to prevent a crime or to find someone.
I saw roughly two minutes of "New In Town" on accident today. We meant to take my Godchild to see some cartoon and they gave us tickets to theater 10 where New In Town was playing (at the same time) instead of theater 11 (which was sold out after we realized the mistake).
