I'd rather have the controls that don't allow you to go rambo in a survival horror game. The tank controls make you vulnerable and build suspense in a lot of situations.

It's got nothing to do with "going rambo" but surely they can manage a control system that lets you do what you want smoothly and easily? One where a single button fires your gun, and a single button slashes your knife, instead of awkward trigger+button combos?

Movement-wise, RE just hasn't evolved out of the D-Pad days. I loved RE4, but perhaps it just bugs me more now that it's on "next-gen" consoles...

RE1 through Code Veronica controls are way worse than RE4/RE5. If they were smart they'd implement a "next gen" scheme and a "classic" scheme that was user determined.
