furthermore, it's not only that the display is clearer -- it's that the fucking screen is 0.9-mm-wide and consumes a significantly smaller amount of power than conventional LCD displays. these improvements mark progress in human ingenuity and skill

I understand the persistence, talent, creativity, and skill that it takes to create new technologies, but that is not my point. My point is that this is a TV. It won't change the way I live my life; it'll just make my TV take up a little bit less space and be more pleasant to look at.
