We've gotten two new Chinchillas.



This one is Wall-E



And this one (which is an albino one - bad lighting it's a lot lighter than the other ones when it stands next to them) is Malcolm Hoban (after Malcolm Reynolds and Hoban Wash in Firefly).

Chinchillas are beautiful, interesting, and amusing creatures. They make fantastic pets.

Damn right Jason. These guys love to perch on shoulders like birds do, and their poop is way easier to clean up than a birds.

Pros of having chinchillas:

They aren't smelly.

They're totally cuddly.

They love to chew on things and it's totally adorable.

They take dust baths and are absolutely adorable.


Cons:

They chew on EVERYTHING such as their cage at night which makes loud sounds.

They are nocturnal and loud as hell when hyper.

They go through more wooden chew toys a week than food, and chew toys are more expensive.


Overall they're still the best, even if they did wake me up at 5 in the morning.
