rumor is that valve wanted to do this themselves but resource limitation along with low purchase expectations kept them for digging in, but have advised the team to remove the word "source" from the name in order to avoid legal action.
If valve picks this up and releases it themselves I wouldn't be surprised but I wouldn't be surprised if legal entanglements sends this to oblivion either.
