I've only read an abridged version of Les Misérables.

I think you'd enjoy Ninety-Three, if you ever have time to read casually.

I'll put it on my list. I think some time will open up over break and over the course of the next semester, as I'm taking easier classes and won't be applying to graduate schools.

I'm not really familiar with his work. What appeals about it?

He knows how to draw you in, how to get you emotionally involved. His style is something I'm not used to, and I like it. Plus, the ending really knows you on your ass.

I once read an abridged version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

It was really different from the movie, in that everybody died, and there were no singing gargoyles voiced by Jason Alexander.
