Having roughly enough fuel actually isn't that darn close; they still need to figure out how to make a bomb out of that fuel, which is much harder than you might imagine. Not that I want Iran to have nuclear weapons, but how hypocritical is it of the United States to restrict the development of nuclear weapons?

The two countries aren't comparable. I doubt America is ever going to use a nuke again, because I doubt we'll ever be in a 1945 state again.

I know it's not easy to actually construct the full bomb, but they're ahead of schedule from what most people predicted. Most people thought they wouldn't have been at this point until 2010.

And I'm more commenting on how I doubt Obama is going to be some kind of peace-nik, which could be a good or a bad thing. He's decided to keep on Robert Gates for Sec. of Defense, which should be a sign to the HopeChangers out there.

For a person who has repeated said that he was going to hunt down Osama Bin Laden and "kill him", Obama doesn't really sound like a peacenik. Just because he wants to get out of Iraq doesn't mean he's a pacifist. I'm not sure I've met anyone who has that view of him, anyway. All of the major wars of the 20th century were waged under Democrats.
