is it really cold enough there to wear a pea coat? it gets colder around here and i rarely see anyone wear heavy coats like that. of course, no one uses umbrellas here either.

It gets pretty cold and rainy here in the summer and winter. Our warmest seasons are spring and fall. It's been in the 70s and 80s every day for the last few weeks, but that's not going to last much longer.

I found one at a thrift store that appears to be the exact same type used in the Navy.

It was marked at $95. At the counter, they ended up charging me $50. Score.
