Why the hell do they test nuclear bombs in the desert and Pacific Ocean when they have Ohio? At least they'll know what the effects of fallout will be like. These people are close enough to humans to draw some comparisions... right?
I was going to abstain from voting for president, but the more exposure I get to McCain/Palin supporters, the more I want to vote for Obama. Not that he's a good candidate or anything.
I used to have a modicum of respect for McCain. If he has even a fraction of the character and integrity that I thought he did, he's probably thinking long and hard about the wisdom of his VP pick.
When/if he loses, I'd like to see him go nuts in his concession speech and completely repudiate the chucklefucks that his name has been associated with during this election.
Al Jazeera English is actually not a terrible news network. I'd compare it to the BBC or NPR - there's some bias with which I definitely disagree, but their coverage is far more intelligent and in-depth than the regular cable news networks, with analysis that goes beyond opposing talking heads parroting their respective party lines.
