Also, I presume that each rape scene was a reference to rape scenes in other movies. I got the Deliverance reference, but didn't get the one with Indy at the pinball machine.

I don't get it either, and I don't think it was a reference but I could be wrong.

The one with the pinball machine was a reference to "The Accused" and the first one was a reference to "Boys Don't Cry"
