Pro... I'm not ready for a baby in this time in my life. I've seen what happens to people when they have children that they probably shouldn't. I'm not going to ruin a child's life, the chick I get knocked up as well as my own over this issue.
I'm anti-abortion, but in a legal since I don't think the government should have laws against it for the most part. At the same time, I find it really sad that someone could be so greedy as to prevent a child the chance at living a good life. Anyway I know that isn't the issue here, and it is a complex one, but hopefully people will start to realize that they can always put their baby up for adoption.
You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll learn a few valuable life lessons, your whole pregnancy will have a hip indie soundtrack, and in the end, you can just give your baby to Jennifer Garner.
To give a fuller answer, I'll say that what I believe includes the following propositions:
1. Merely a fertilized embryo does not constitute a human mind.
2. Abortion is permissible when a human mind is not being destroyed.
3. I would never have an abortion, except when it threatens my life or, perhaps, when the pregnancy is a result of rape. Not being a woman, I can't imagine what it feels like to carry the child of your rapist.
