Pretty much every reputable physicist says that there's absolutely NO chance of this thing destroying the earth, even in the event of a catastrophic malfunction.

And in any case, even the paranoid nuts claim that the chance of this thing actually destroying the planet are astronomically small, way less than 1 in 1,000.
