Here's a comic they've written that goes over its history and unique features.

The first 15 pages or so are really technical, but the last bit goes over all of the stuff that might be of interest to the end user.

So many of these features are the type of thing that make you think "why wasn't this standard on web browsers 5 years ago?"

They just make so much sense.
