Anyone see the moon and Venus last night?

They were really close together again. No Jupiter this time, but it was really pretty.

It wasn't as good as the Jupiter/Venus/Crescent moon event a couple months ago, when they looked like a happy face.

So, the launch of the Kepler Mission went off without a hitch. In a couple months, it will begin looking for earth-like planets orbiting sun-like stars.

have a camera, a clear night, and a 25-cm newtonian 'scope (or at least a reflector with significantly better angular resolution than the naked eye)?  snap some photos of the ISS + discovery!

Not exactly in space, but in this awesome experiment scientists are simulating the conditions at the sun's core using a giant laser.  Awesome.
