I can't buy shoes mailorder because my left foot is smaller than my right and I have to work out a size swap, or find a pair that's not uncomortable for both feet.
either that or just swap the shoes around when no one's looking, which I have done to the more assholish salespeople.
Cyclists here act like idiots. They always bitch and moan about cars hogging the road, when in reality, it's the cyclists who are weaving in and out of traffic, darting onto the road from between parked cars, and flagrantly disobeying the rules of the road.
I'd wager that in at least 80% of accidents involving a car and a bike, the cyclist is at fault.
Around here, they'll ride on the wrong side of the road, disregard all traffic signals and stop signs, and act as though they constantly have the right of way. They can get away with that crap in a suburban setting, but in an urban environment, I imagine they'd get seriously hurt in a matter of days.
I finally found a new flat - it's in an old townhouse that's been converted into four apartments, in a very nice part of the south side of the city. For some reason it's slightly cheaper than most of the other places I looked at, which were average at best.

Nobody really rides a bike here, but I know what you mean. Up in Portland they would be so obnoxious. I don't do the turning signals though. That shit is gayer than gay.

I found out I got a Merit for my course; that is sort of the medium grade, but I'm pretty pleased with it 'cause I was struggling with it for a lot of the time. This also co-incides with a rare (ish) period of me not feeling ashamed about being a writer. I'm thinking of buying myself a scarf or something so that everyone will know.
