I was wondering if YOU, JasonOrr, let your guard down and get caught up in the nationalistic practice of screaming for your country simply because it is your country during the olympics, instead of cheering for the best competitor?
I find that part of the Olympics one of the most annoying aspects, second only to how ****ing boring and tedious it is.

I would say I "cheer" really; I just admire the excellence of the athletes. Of course, the victor garners the most attention. I don't care where you're from; I do care that you're great.
Since I'm watching the Olympics on American TV, though, it's hard to see much of the other great athletes unless the American team has a shot at beating them and taking a medal.
