Look at the athletes. They're doing it for themselves. Even the Chinese.

I'll give you that for the female gymnasts.  I'm looking at these Chinese male gymnasts, though, and they may be working as a team but I can just feel their individualism.  It's naturally human; you can't stop it.

Olympic athletes usually don't go to the media and say that the rival team is weak and that they will "crush" them. NFL NBA even MLB, but the olympics usually are classier since the athletes are representing their country.

Blah... I never understood that line of argument.  I'd much rather give the impression that I have class than lead someone to believe my country has class.  Like, on field trips, the teachers would tell us to be on our "best behavior" because we'd be "representing our school"... wtf?  The school ****ing sucked ass.  If I wanted to give an accurate depiction of the school, I'd have stabbed a mother****er.  I'll be on my best behavior because I am good, not because the school is supposed to look good.
