He... tortured people? He invaded the property and privacy of just about every person in Gotham city?
1. He used it to pin-point the location of the Joker. He listened in on criminals conversations. Pin-pointed through some convoluted system how to attract calls only from the Joker or some bull****. That didn't make any sense to me.
Also, he tortured Joker to get information about where people were that were about to die. A nd for the record, that info did not help.
Didn't we discuss this? Yes, in an emergency situation you can torture a man who obviously has information on the whereabouts of a person. The Joker obviously orchestrated the kidnapping.
The man is guilty of multiple murders. He has openly admitted to horrendous violations of the law. If a guilty man has whereabouts your friends and family, would you not torture them? Would you spare him and sacrifice your friends for some stupid ****ing morality that has no connection to reality? Morality is not supposed to be a curse upon us.
What is the root of morality? Why does morality exist and for what purpose? Does it exist so guilty men can carry out their plans to kill innocent people?
Morality exists so that rational individuals can sustain their lives, and enhance their lives. We have no obligation to murderers and rapists when they are in the act of committing a crime.
Harmless to whom? To the person torturing? It is not my concern if he is getting some sick pleasure out of bashing the man's head into a table, thereby leading to psychological harm. I don't know what you mean. Of course it inflicts harm on the tortured, that is the point.
