When I said "[not] all that good," I meant that it was not as good as the hype. I liked it. In fact, I liked it more than all the other movies I've seen this summer in theatres (Wanted [I want those 2 hours of my life back], Han**** [those ones too], Wall-E, The Incredible Hulk). It had good action, but the bottom line is that it didn't have what it takes to be up there on the list of great films. It had a lot of over-the-top/ cheesy lines. It had almost no character development for its main characters. Really, it's not a stand alone film, and a movie that isn't stand alone never deserves the title great. Can you even compare cheap CGI with the masterful cinematography of the greats?
I guess, when it comes down to it, I liked it. It was a good thriller and I enjoyed my time at the theatre a lot, but I don't think I'm going to look at this movie in 2090 the way I look at something like The Circus now.
