Each book is really short, actually -- around 200 pages. The original trilogy is, by definition, three books. Thus, about 600 pages. However, he wrote a hundred thousand other Foundation-based books, too, none of which I am interested in reading.
I remember seeing them in a library or a book store or something and they seemed way longer than that. Maybe it's because almost all science fiction seems really long and boring to me.

The only other thing I've ever read by him is Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? (and I couple short stories I read a million years ago that I don't remember at all) so it's not like I'm an expert (A Dick expert, as it were LOL GOOD ONE PIZZA U SO FUNNY), but he's a good writer and worth reading.
As I've probably stated before in this thread I'm not big on sci fi books, but thankfully his writing is good enough on its own that it can still keep my interest even with all the stuff I find so boring and tempting to just skim over, namely the super nerdy description of the technology that is in like EVERY sci fi book; it puts me to sleep. Maybe I just have no imagination, but it's impossible to paint a picture for that type of thing in my head unless I can actually see it. The same goes for fantasy type books. I tried reading Lord of the Rings and I couldn't put up with it. I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE HISTORY OF THE ANCIENT DIAMOND SWORD OF WINKYBLONKY, SHUT UP ALREADY.
ANYWAYS where was I going with that? Oh yeah, Phillip K. Dick, Pizza Approved.

Thank you Pizza and Jasno, I'll get on the case. Pizza I agree with your general point about sci-fi and fantasy works btw, although I do have a soft spot for LOTR.
