So you know what I really hate? YOUNG PEOPLE RIDING ON THE SIDEWALKS WITH THEIR SKATEBOARDS. THERE I SAID IT.
It's not the fact that people have skateboards, and they ride around on them, it's the fact that they're TERRIBLE at it. Honestly, everybody here who rides a skateboard thinks they're in fucking Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 and have to do a bunch of stupid tricks and make an ass of themselves, AND THEY SUCK AT IT AND THEY'RE TERRIBLE. I have yet to see ONE half-decent skater here. If they existed I'd be fine with it BUT THEY DON'T.
Every time I'm trying to ride my bike downtown there's always some fuckface who's way too old to be on a skateboard (which is past high school. Once you're out of high school it's time to put that and your Sublime CD's away), and he wants to be cool and try some trick he doesn't know how to do to impress some girl who he doesn't realize thinks he looks stupid, AND THEY ALWAYS FALL ON THEIR ASS AND GET IN MY WAY.
You want a mode of transportation that's in between walking and driving in terms of speed? GET A BIKE. Don't be asshole, get off your skateboard because you suck and you're not good at it and all you're doing is getting in people's way and looking super gay ass. COME ON, WHO'S WITH ME?

I don't ride my bike on the sidewalk, that's babytown frolics. But skaters here are so terrible they inevitably end up stumbling into the street or sending their skateboards flying right in my path as they fall off.

Rereading this topic, I came off as grumpier and oldier than I intended too. But still, people who suck at skateboarding and insist on doing it anyways are obnoxious, THAT'S ALL I'M SAYING.
