I finally got into my first car accident tonight (while I was driving). It was completely my fault, traffic was really backed up and I wasn't paying attention and next thing I know there's a van right in front of me and I didn't have enough time to make a stop. The weird thing was I pulled into a parking lot off the side of the road, expecting the other car to do the same... but they just drove off. I waited around for like 20 minutes and they never showed up, so I suspect they might've been drinking or not had insurance.

Everything on the front of my truck is pretty much fucked, the hood, the bumper, the fender, condenser, grill, radiator, probably some other shit. I have collision insurance though, so it should be fine, and I might even be able to straighten out the hood myself. This video can sum up the experience better than I ever could

As far as wrecks go, this one isn't that bad. At least you had collision insurance.

Bad things keep happening to my car through no fault of my own. In the past few years, someone ran into the front bumper in a Target parking lot, someone else basically tore the front bumper off my car (and damaged the surrounding areas) in my apartment building's lot, and a pebble put a huge crack in my windshield that led to its being replaced.

If I can go one year without putting another $500 in the car, I'd be so, so happy.
