Remember the lost emperor penguin?

It somehow ended up in New Zealand.

They left him there for a while, since they didn't know what to do.

After some days, it then suffered from dehydration and exhaustion.. so they decided "OK, we'll rescued him now." It had 6.6 pounds of sand pumped out of its stomach after confusing the beach sand for snow and eating it =(

 

Well, now they found a group of researchers that are willing to drop him off by Antarctica, so he can swim back home and they will also put a chip on him to make sure he doesn't get lost again.

I'm excited for the penguin.

Penguins are the only birds that I like. Actually ducks are okay, the rest can go suck it.

Oh yeah, ravens are cool too. They're like the smartest birds, and they're always fucking with the other animals.

And why do we have a national bird anyways? THAT'S WHAT I WANT TO KNOW. That's so odd to me, that that's the animal that people associate with this country, a stupid bald eagle.

We should have a national dragon. THAT WOULD BE COOL.

I think birds are alright.

I like my state bird



Pigeons are the worst animals in existence, however.

And chickens, while delicious, are total assholes. Ducks are pretty cool, so I feel a little worse about eating them than chickens.

But I don't feel that bad about it.

I don't like duck meat, but even if I did I still wouldn't feel bad about eating them, BECAUSE I'M A MAN DAMNIT. And the only thing chickens are good for is eatin'.
