What? I don't get it? Were crayon boxes lacking in color before this?

I guess it would be useful to draw... people.

Are children really that picky about how realistic people's flesh looks in their drawings that they need to have multicultural markers?

It's about time Crayola started injecting some realism into their products. Kids these days just have way too much imagination, it's sickening. If I had my way I'd get rid of crayons altogether and the only toys I'd give to children would be rocks to throw at other kids who aren't pop punx enough.

Crayola used to have a color called "flesh." They changed it to "peach."

That's actually pretty understandable.

They probably don't have a marker pale enough to accurately depict my skin tone.

White markers wouldn't really show up on paper.

If they were worried about having a single color called "flesh" - I can't imagine how many days a bunch of people sat in a boardroom trying to come up with politically-correct names for each of these colors.

"Dark Brown?"

"No, that's racist!"

"Uh, Burnt Wood?"

"No, that's racist!"

"African Heritage?"

"Hey yeah, that works."

I can't find the color names for the markers but for the multicultural crayons, colors include: black, sepia, peach, apricot, white, tan, mahogany and burnt sienna.

Multicultural colors (10 of each) include:
Golden Beige
Beige
Tan
Tawny
Bronze
Terra Cotta
Mahogany

I can safely say that's the most depressing box of markers I've ever seen.
