Pretty great, if only for the over the top fun of watching an 11 year old girl going around killing people and getting shot, as well as proving that Nicolas Cage doesn't always have to suck.

Kick Ass was pretty good. It had a more uplifting, likable ending that wasn't akin to some kind of Greek tragedy/Existentialist despair, like the comic book was. I think all the actors did a pretty good job. The guy that played Kick Ass was probably the weakest of links.
And if you need to reaffirm your Nick Cage hate, just watch Ghost Rider again. Sure you're a comic book fan, Nick. That's why you just raped a comic book hero on film.

Big Daddy turned out not to be an ex-cop, but a ****ty family man and comic book fan who wanted to create a new life and bond with his daughter. Kick Ass tells the girl that thought he was gay that actually he is straight, and instead of banging like jackrabbits, she flips out and has a new boyfriend beat the **** out of him. He also receives a picture of her giving said boyfriend a blow job. He then goes home to find his dad ****ing someone's ex-girlfriend (can't remember who). He goes back to be an unnoticed nerd
I like the more uplifting, romantic ending. A teenage life of reading existentialist novels has left me sick and tired of **** always going wrong for the little guy.
