So since nobody wants to talk about South Park, has anybody seen this new show on FX called Justified?

I saw the first episode. It's great so far.

I mean, it's not like they broke new ground with the basic thesis of the episode: rich successful men cheat on their wives, and it sure is silly how the media acts like their reasons for doing so are some big mystery!

But they got quite a bit of mileage out of that premise.

No, but I've been watching Archer on FX and it's funny. DOES ANYONE WATCH THAT? NO? OKAY.

Justified is great. It's basically a western set in the present day. And it's got Timothy Olyphant, who's usually the best part of any movie or TV show he's in.

Is this from a critic who saw an advance screener?

I really hope it stays good, because the pilot was awesome.

I forget who but it was a critic. They said pilot was the best ep. and the other episodes based on new scripts vary from mediocre to great. If I had time Id check it out but I dont.

Well, I hope the writers find their stride.

After all, Dexter and True Blood are both based on novels, but they diverged radically from the source material and became great shows in their own right.
