One of my friends at a local free magazine (that will remain unnamed but is well known in these parts and is a REAL magazine, not like the crap one I worked at before) told me I'd be a shoe in for the new position they had open - I had the qualifications they were looking for and the experience. I was really excited and I was getting my references from the old magazine job together when I found my "I'm quitting" email and reread it and decided more money and an exciting job title wasn't worth the stress and BS I had to put up with before. It might be a mistake, but I feel more level headed deciding to turn it down on the grounds of how stressful and overworked any position at a magazine is over the excitement of maybe having my name in print again.
