protesting by consuming more electricity than average is even more retarded than cutting back on consumption. at least with decreased consumption, the participant saves money.

I did. An hour of extra energy doesn't cost much at all where I live. The town has pretty much a flat-rate for electricity.

looks like you new yorkers have some hefty demand relative to other places in the nation

 

i get charged 5.8¢/kWh for now, until xcel energy gets its rate case approved
