Transformers 2

As much as I hate to admit it, I enjoyed Transformers. I found the size of the explosions in that movie to be quite admirable.

This one promises to have larger explosions, and more giant robots.

Goddamn, don't advance space faring robots have spaceships or something? Or is it easier to just camoflage yourself as a very shiny asteroid and crash land onto inhabited planets?

This is Michael Bay we're talking about - coming to Earth in metal asteroids allows the invaders to create really large explosions and run up the visual effects budget.

Writer: wouldn't it make more sense for the aliens to just land on Earth, rather than crash there?

Michael Bay: Don't be ridiculous. That wouldn't make a very big explosion at all!

Movies like this don't even have stuntmen anymore. All the big action scenes are like 99% CGI.
