I hate the flu, even for one day, which is usually the length I have it for every few years. I've been stuck with a ****ty cold for a week and a half now, but i'd rather have boogers and snot clogging me than a flu for a single day.
For all the bitching, I have to say that the timing of this illness is perfect. It wasn't on New Years, which is nice considering that either cheese or I have been sick on New Years each and every year of our relationship. Also, it gives me enough time to recover before my week long ski trip.
Man, I went snowboarding once. I was horrible, but the worst part was walking down the hill, having to take a ****, taking the **** in the woods, and then having nothing to wipe with. I don't think I will ever try to do anythnig like it again.
Snowboarding is crazy hard, and you get really beat up when you're learning it since you fall down on your ass so much. Besides, you can only go downhill on a snowboard, and sometimes to get to trails on other parts of the mountain you need to go on flatter trails. My roommate snowboards, and he likes it, but I recommend skiing to everyone and snowboarding only to those who have a special affinity for boards.
I have a ski resort about 30 minutes from me. Bristol Mountain. Everyone bitches at me that I never go, but it is expensive and intimidating. I'm more accident prone than a young, awkward Jewish boy.
