There's also the debt factor to consider, but if you can't get a real job now and you get a higher salary later, it might be made up for.

I heard that Barack Obama just finished paying off his student loans a few years ago, and he's not exactly wanting for cash.

Paying off a huge amount of debt is just a reality of life for lawyers, unless you had rich parents who paid your tuition.
