if anything, child abuse focuses too much on physical trauma these days -- not enough on psychological trauma

those people are doing child abuse right. not just that boring ol' physical torment, they're messing with the kid's head too, an all around attack. so when he grows up he'll have trust issues and never be able to form a healthy relationship.

 It's not too bad. Sure the kids will end up in therapy for many many years but at least they'll be able to pinpoint the source of the trauma straight away. Appearently that can be the hardest part. They can get started on the healing process straight away.
