but I was thinking about this today: why did George Lucas kill off darth maul in episode one? Wouldn't it have made more sense if Darth Maul had been the villan through out the first 3 episodes. I mean some might say he's just doing the same thing as the original triology by trying to create a villan for the first 3 but I think it would have made the series more interesting. Obi wan trying to avenge the death of his master, would at least be an interesting sub plot

(Keep in mind I have never watch a star wars movie so some of the things said here might come off as completely stupid.)
